Ah, an essay; I thought by graduating from college that I had surely moved beyond the days when I would be forced to write one of these. But, alas, life once again shows me one of its amusing twists. Well, shall I start at the beginning then? I remember my birth like it was only yesterday. It was a cold February day in Jacksonville, Alabama. The wind was swirling outside as my mother and her team of doctors sought to bring me forth into this world...ah...it says this is to be a "self-summary". Damn, I was just getting the hang of this writing thing again.

I will be brief then. I am currently employed by a Sporting Goods company based out of Birmingham. I very much enjoy my job and believe that I have fallen into a fantastic opportunity that will allow me to move up the depth chart while gaining experience and making many new acquaintances along the way.

Before that, I was a student at Auburn University where I graduated rather anonymously with a liberal arts degree in history. I took the all too common 5 year graduation route as I floundered about in my early collegiate years in search of myself.

As I am employed in the sporting goods field and grew up a sports fan in a sports-mad family, I spend a great deal of my time keeping up with the sports (although I find myself completely disinterested in the drama of stories such as those of Tiger Woods' inability to keep his hands to himself and Brett Favre's return to the NFL). If you do not care for sports and find those that do to be beneath you then please move along as I am clearly not the one for you.

In my free time I like to read (mostly fiction), watch movies, and spend time with friends and family. I am not a bar hopper although I do enjoy going out some on the weekends.

I am 25 years old and have a great time with life. I currently am enrolled in school focusing on Vocal Performance with a concentration on Opera. I live in a small town, and have a blast. My friends are my life, and when I'm not with them I am working, going to class, or practicing.

I am really into photography and earn part of my living with it. I've been to the city and played city games but I really like living in the country or at least not in the city. I was kidding when I said I know more than you do. Perhaps I don't. I read a book a week, watch EVERY college football game and still find time to eat, sleep and work. I think Abortion is murder. I think Bush is an idiot of mammoth proportions. I think everyone is an Alabama fan deep down inside. I think Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock band of all time, Family Guy is the greatest show, Pulp Fiction is the greatest movie. I think there is a strange advantage in having had an abusive alcholic father as I know with every fiber in my being that I will never be anything like him. The things that went on in my childhood taught me to respect women and children. No child should have to see his mother abused, no woman should ever allow it, and a real man is there for his kids. I'm the most loyal, dependable, trustworthy person you know...if you know me. And if you don't know me, you really should change that. My friends are all goobers. That's why I love them. Conversation is one of the few things I could probably not live without. I have really cool friends and we talk about alot of crazy things. Football mostly, but there's also the usual "what would you do for ten million bucks?" discussions that we have. We get political sometimes and sometimes we talk about religion. So sometimes we argue.
